Industrial developer PNK Group has officially broken ground on a new 268,000-square-foot multi-functional facility in Waterford Township, Camden County.
According to Mark Stiles, partner at PNK Group, the southern New Jersey region holds strategic importance for the company, and this latest project represents a key initiative for both PNK and local officials. The groundbreaking ceremony drew regional leaders, including Senator Paul D. Moriarty, Mayor Robert Doney, Deputy Mayor Thomas Giangiulio, Police Chief Daniel Cormaney, and other representatives from Waterford Township.
Southern New Jersey continues to experience strong industrial demand due to its strategic location, proximity to four major seaports, dense population base, and access to skilled labor. The new facility is strategically positioned at the intersection of Routes 30 and 73, offering convenient access to I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike. Within a 150-mile radius, the site reaches roughly 35 million people, encompassing major metropolitan areas including New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.
The project also falls under a 20-year PILOT (Payment In Lieu of Taxes) program, providing substantial tax benefits for future tenants and end users — further enhancing the site’s long-term economic appeal.
